Mr. Dolakh Bahadur Gurung, Election Commissioner

Mr. Dolakh Bahadur Gurung was appointed to the post of Election Commissioner on May 13, 2006. Prior to his appointment as the Election Commissioner, he had already served as the Acting Secretary at the Local Development Ministry and Election Commission earlier.

Mr. Gurung had worked in remote districts such as Mugu, Manang, Tanahun, Gulmi, Gorkha, Solukhumbu, Baglung, Surkhet, Parsa and Morang. Mr. Gurung holds Diploma in Education and Public Administration. He also holds Masters' Degree. He has done a number of trainings from abroad and Nepal on different subjects. He has excellent achievements in District Administration Training, Designing and Managing, Rural Development and Legal Training. Mr. Gurung had received dozen of awards and honors and also written a number of books. He also holds honorary portfolios in various social organisations.
