OVERVIEW OF THE TRAINING UNIT

As the hub of all education and capacity building programs of the Commission, the EEIC's training unit is at the helm of managing regular training programs on electoral related issues for its staff and stakeholders.

In addition, the Election Commission collaborates with electoral assistance organizations such as the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC), International IDEA, International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and United Nations Electoral Assistance Division (UNEAD) to organize on a regular basis, national, regional and international BRIDGE (Building Resources in Democracy, Governance and Elections) workshops and programs to further develop the capacities and participation of staff and stakeholders in electoral management and processes.

The training unit can accommodate up to 80 people in a theatre-style accommodation, and at least 25 people in a round-table workshop arrangement.

During elections, this facility will also serve as the media center and information clearing house.
